SHOP MOTHER EARTH PRAYER BEADS
These beautiful handcrafted pagan prayer beads (also called meditation beads, witch’s ladder, or pagan rosary) were made to honor Mother Earth, the personification of the planet earth and the primordial mother goddess of all life. Across various faiths and traditions, Mother Earth is known as Gaia, Terra, Jörð, Nerthus, Pachamama, and many other names.
These Mother Earth prayer beads are made with 8mm genuine crystal beads and silver-toned metal spacer beads on stainless steel wire, with a wire-wrapped green aventurine stone on one end and a metal charm representing the earth mother goddess at the opposite end. This set measures 20 inches in length.
★ ABOUT MOTHER EARTH / GAIA / TERRA / JÖRÐ ★
Earth goddesses have been worshiped by many cultures around the globe for thousands and thousands of years, long before the first recorded mythologies. Throughout the ancient Indo-European world, the idea that earth was intrinsically linked with femininity and sky was linked with masculinity was a key spiritual and cultural concept.
The Ancient Greeks worshiped Gaia as the great mother of all creation, and believed that all other life was born from her. The Roman equivalent of Gaia is Terra.
In Norse mythology, Jörð is the personification of the earth. She is a jötunn who is counted among the Æsir goddesses, and is the mother of Thor. Nerthus is another Germanic pagan goddess who was one of the Vanir deities, and was regarded as the Earth Mother.

★ ABOUT THE CRYSTALS ★
The patterns in this prayer bead set revolve around multiples of the number three, as Earth is the third planet from the sun. I selected six crystals based on both their metaphysical properties and their color associations with the natural world:

Yellow Tiger’s Eye is a grounding stone that is associated with protection and mental clarity. It can used to overcome complex problems, dispel fears, and build personal willpower.
Lapis Lazuli enhances feelings of harmony, deep peace, and inner knowledge. This soothing blue stone is believed to unlock your ability to turn inwards and connect to your authentic self.
Kambaba Jasper is an ancient and exotic stone that is infused with the calm, grounding energies of nature. It is a sedimentary stone formed by a primordial form of blue-green algae.
African Pietersite has been called the “tempest stone” due to its highly stimulating energies. This gold and brown stone is used to cleanse the aura and enhance shamanic journeying.
